Connect Google Play Console
Read reviews, publish replies and update your store listing through a Google service account.
About 10 minutes
What you need
- Owner or admin access to the Play Console developer account
- Access to a Google Cloud project
- 1
Enable the API
Google Cloud › APIs & Services › Library
In Google Cloud, open APIs & Services › Library, search for Google Play Android Developer API and enable it.
- 2
Create a service account
Google Cloud › IAM & Admin › Service Accounts
Open IAM & Admin › Service Accounts › Create service account. Name it searvia. It needs no Google Cloud roles.
- 3
Create a JSON key
Open the service account, go to Keys › Add key › Create new key, choose JSON and download the file. Copy the service account email (it ends with iam.gserviceaccount.com).
- 4
Invite it in Play Console
Play Console › Users and permissions
In Play Console open Users and permissions › Invite new users. Paste the service account email, add your apps and allow “Reply to reviews” and “Manage store presence”. Send the invitation; no email needs to be accepted.
- 5
Add it to Searvia
Settings › Connections › Google Play
In Searvia open Settings › Connections › Google Play, choose the JSON file and click Connect.
What you get
Reviews come from Google directly, approved replies are published, and listing changes can be pushed from the Metadata tab.
- Google sometimes needs up to 24 hours to apply new permissions. If the connection fails at first, try again later.
